Labas is a word in Lithuanian that means good, useful, and/or right and is usually used in salutation. Together with a word describing the time of day, it forms a formal greeting: labas rytas is the phrase for good morning, laba diena is good day, and labas vakaras is good evening. It is also used in some goodbye phrases: labos nakties is the phrase for have a good night and viso labo is the phrase meaning wish you everything good.
