(lah-VAHN) n. Laban. The son of Bethuel, brother of Rebekkah, and father of Leah and Rachel (Gen. 24:29). "white."
Rebekah's brother and Jacob's uncle who lived in Aram; Jacob married Laban's daughters Rachel and Leah, and Jacob gained wealth there. See Chapter 2.
Laban is the son of Bethuel, brother of Rebekah and the father of Leah and Rachel as described in the Book of Genesis. As such he is brother-in-law to Isaac and twice the father-in-law to Jacob.
