John Hill (c. 1716 – November 21, 1775), called from his Swedish honours, "Sir" John Hill, English author, son of the Rev. Theophilus Hill, is said to have been born in Peterborough.

John Hill (born 1949), Australian politician, is the current South Australian Minister for Health, Minister for Environment and Conservation, Minister for the Southern Suburbs, Minister Assisting the Premier in the Arts in the Rann Government. He also represents the electoral district of Kaurna in the South Australian House of Assembly and is a member of the Australian Labor Party.
