Internet Server Application Programming Interface. A Microsoft API for Internet servers.
A Web server application-development interface, developed by Process Software and Microsoft, that can be used in place of CGI. Stands for Internet Server Application Programming Interface.
Internet Server Application Programming Interface. An API for developing extensions to the Microsoft Internet Information Server and other HTTP servers that support the ISAPI interface. See also application programming interface.
Internet Server Application Program Interface. An application program interface that resides on a server computer for initiating software services tuned for the Microsoft Windows operating system. It is an API for developing extensions to IIS and other HTTP services that support the ISAPI interface.
is short for Internet Server API. It is the API for the Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) web server. Web applications developed to use ISAPI run considerably faster than those that use CGI, as they are loaded in process with the server. NSAPI
See Internet Server API (ISAPI).
ISAPI (Internet Server Application Programming Interface) is an API for writing extensions to web servers. It was originally developed by Process Software, and adopted by Microsoft as its standard server API. It complements or replaces the Common Gateway Interface (CGI), the standard interprocess protocol for writing extensions to web servers. ISAPI's main advantage over CGI is that it uses dynamic-link library (DLL) function calls to communicate with extension components, rather than environment variables and standard I/O, as CGI does. There's a lot of overhead when starting new processes on Win32 platforms, and DLL calls eliminate the need for new processes, thus reducing the running time.
An API proposed by Microsoft to replace CGI. Programs written to ISAPI are compiled as DLLs and stored in memory so they can be run faster than CGI scripts--or...
is the Internet Server Application Program Interface. Usually, any term that ends in the characters 'API' is an Application Program Interface. This is the API used by Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS) web server. Web applications that use ISAPI run considerably faster than those that use CGI, since they share the 'process' (programming memory space) used by the IIS web server and therefore avoid the time consuming program load and unload process that CGI requires. A similar API used by Netscape is called NSAPI.
Internet Server Application Programmer Interface.
Internet Information Server API. This API for Microsoft's HTTP servers optimizes the web application interface for faster access than a corresponding CGI program.
Internet server application program interface. ISAPI is a programming interface on IIS, Microsoft's web server. It allows third parties (and Microsoft) to add functionality to web servers running Microsoft IIS.

ISAPI (Internet Server Application Program Interface) is a set of Windows program calls that let you write a Web server application that will run faster than a Common Gateway Interface (common gateway interface) application.
A set of functions for Internet servers, such as a Windows NT® Server/Windows 2000 Server running Microsoft® Internet Information Services (IIS).
The Internet Server Application Programming Interface (ISAPI) is an N-tier API of Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft's collection of Windows-based web server services. The most prominent application of IIS and ISAPI is Microsoft's web server.
