Definitions for "Intensive property"
A quantity, such as temperature, density, or pressure, which does not depend on the size of the sample. See extensive property.
intensive; intensive properties. Compare with extensive property. A property that does not change when the amount of sample changes. Examples are density, pressure, temperature, color.
property of matter that is independent of the amount of matter present; density and color are intensive properties. (see extensive property)
