A drug used in infertility treatment to induce ovarian follicular growth; requires subsequent use of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) to induce ovulation; also used to stimulate sperm production in men.
This drug is used to stimulate ovulation. It contains biologically active FSH an LH. Humegon and hCG are given sequentially for induction of ovulation. It, like Pergonal, is also used in men to treat testicular dysfunction.
Similar to Pergonal and Repronex: the luteinizing and follicle-stimulating hormones recovered from the urine of post-menopausal women. Used to stimulate multiple ovulation in some fertility treatments.
