Definitions for "Hostels"
An establishment that provides cheap food and lodging for a specific group of people (e.g. such as students, workers, travelers).
A public building which offers low-cost, supervised, overnight accommodation for use by families, groups or individuals.
Establishments providing board, lodging or accommodation for the aged, distressed, or disabled who cannot live independently but do not need nursing care in a hospital or nursing home. Residents are generally responsible for their own provisions, but may be provided with domestic assistance (meals, laundry, personal care). Only hostels subsidised by the Commonwealth are included in statistics.
