Homewood is a predominantly African-American area of Pittsburgh divided into three neighborhoods: West Homewood, North Homewood, and South Homewood.This area is known by synonyms in graffiti around the city such as H-Dub, H.W.C. (Homewood Crips), Homewood State, & many others by the youth of the area. The youth of this area are also known to have a longstanding rivalry with other Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar, Larimer , & The Hill District the former being a area dominated by the Bloods gang.
