A type of protein with a specific type of glycoprotein attatched. i.e. two proteins would be of the same glycoform if they carried the same glycoprotein. This was important in that Dealler's hypothesis that the strain of prion disease depended on the glycan chain was shown to some degree by Collinge et al in 1996 and that this inferred that treatment was possible.
