Five Points in Columbia, South Carolina is a shopping, restaurant, and nightlife area that attracts customers from the nearby University of South Carolina and throughout the Columbia metropolitan area. It is the center for the city's annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival.
Five Points is an area of Atlanta, Georgia, United States, the primary reference for the downtown area. The name refers to the convergence of Marietta Street, Edgewood Avenue, Decatur Street, and two legs of Peachtree Street. Though Five Points is usually considered by Atlantans to be the center of town, the origin of the street-numbering system lies two blocks southwest, at the intersection of Peachtree and Alabama Streets.
Five Points station is the transfer point between the North-South and East-West Lines for the MARTA system and is considered its hub.
