Older version of the FAT file system. It is a 16-bit file allocation system. It has a limitation with respect to the size of partitions it can handle.
Partition size : Cluster size 512MB ~ less than 1GB : 16KB 1GB or greater ~ less than 2GB : 32KB 2GB or greater ~ less than 8GB : ** In the case of FAT16, 2GB is the maximum for one partition size.
