Describes the viewing position of a gem as seen when looking at it perpendicular to the table facet. A gemstone that faces up well is excellent in appearance in relation to its color or clarity grades.
Refers to the viewing angle of a polished diamond, so that the table faces approximately towards the viewer, rather than the viewer looking through the side of the stone.
