Extended Services Configuration Data. A region of CMOS RAM that is used to store Plug and Play configuration information.  If the PnP BIOS detects no changes in the system configuration from one boot to the next, it simply uses whatever settings are stored in the ESCD.

Region of non-volatile memory used by BIOS and ICU (Intel Configuration Utility) or PnP operating system to record information about the current configuration of the system.
