Definitions for "ESAF"
External Subsystem Attach Facility. Part of IMS TM. Other products can use it to attach to IMS TM, then IMS TM application programs can access resources owned by the attached products. The most common use of ESAF is to allow DB2 to attach so that IMS TM applications can have access to DB2 data.
An IMF facility established in December 1987 to provide assistance on concessional terms to low-income member countries facing protracted balance-of-payments problems. The ESAF was renamed the "Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility" in 1999.
