Earbuds, familiar to personal stereo users, are tiny padded earpieces which patrons place into the ears (hearing aid users must remove their aids to use this accessory). They provide low to moderate gain and good cosmetic appeal because of their small size. Phonic Ear offers both binaural and monaural earbuds. As with stetoclips, however, the facility staff must stock replacement earpads to ensure that the accessories remain clean.
