Impure and unrefined mixture of metallic gold and silver produced through the smelting of gold and silver concentrate. Typical impurities include base metals. Dore is further refined to almost pure gold by a smelter or refinery.

The Dore is a 134 km long river in central France (département Puy-de-Dôme), right tributary of the river Allier. Its source is near the town Saint-Germain-l'Herm, in the Massif Central. The Dore flows generally north through the following towns: Arlanc, Ambert, Courpière, Puy-Guillaume.
Dore is a village in South Yorkshire. Until 1934 it was part of Derbyshire, but it is now a suburb of Sheffield.
