Direct Methanol Fuel Cell. A DMFC uses no intermediate step (reformation) to prepare the hydrogen in methanol for consumption in the fuel cell.
Direct Methanol Fuel Cell. A type of fuel cell in which the fuel is methanol (CH3OH), in gaseous or liquid form. The methanol is oxidized directly at the anode with no reformation to hydrogen. The electrolyte is typically a PEM.
