Definitions for "DISAGGREGATED"
Disaggregateā€¯ means to separate a whole into its parts. Under NCLB, this term means that test results are sorted into groups of students who are economically disadvantaged, from racial and ethnic minority groups, have disabilities, or have limited English fluency.
Student achievement data that has been reported by ethnicity/race, gender, or economic status. Reporting of disaggregated data identifies within-group student achievement patterns so that appropriate strategies are designed and implemented.
Data that is illustrated by subgroups to determine how the groups performed on the test is known as disaggregated data. These subgroups may be various populations, e.g. minority students (racial/ethnic groups) or a group of students who are new to the school.
