Dehydrogenate is a term used for any material which can separate hydrogen from any compound. Materials may consist of enzymes, microwave pulses, etc. which agitate the element to separate from its elemental counterpart and hence break down into individual compounds of hydrogen. Such dehydrogenation can extract hydrogen from simple water and perhaps may be the energy solution the world is looking for.
