Dominance/submission describes a dynamic in which the submissive lends her/his power of decision-making to the dominant person. Often, but not always, includes SM play
An acronym for the concept of domination and submission. Nouns; referring to an abstract concept or type of relationship as opposed to literal actions. (Note: when actions are taking place, they are referred to as 'dominant' or 'submissive' acts.)
Dominance/submission play. One person takes the controlling role in sexual activity, the other person takes the passive or obedient role. This "play" has varying degrees of intensity. In frequency it can range from once in a while to 24/7, and in intensity it can range from giving a few orders or deciding who takes what sexual position to inflicting severe pain. Always clarify what the person using the term is thinking.

Duration of Status. As an F-1 student you do not have an expiration date for how long you may stay, instead you may stay in the country as long as you maintain legal status as a student and until you complete your studies.
Duration of Status. D/S is granted in the immigration inspection area. D/S allows students to remain in the U.S. for the length of time necessary to complete the studies. D/S generally ends on the last day of classes (i.e. I-20 or DS-2019 expiration date), plus a 60-day grace period for F-1 students and 30-day grace period for J-1 students. It is possible to extend D/S before the I-20 or DS-2019 expiration date, provided that students are eligible to register for the subsequent semester.
An abbreviation used by DHS for "Duration of Status." F-1 and J-1 students are admitted to the United States for as long as they are full-time students complying with all pertinent regulations. It is not indefinite, however; the period of time reflected on the I-20 in section five or the DS-2019 in section three determines the maximum length of the individual's stay and remains conditional upon the pursuit of full-time study.
