Crunchy is a band project started in 2000 by the formerly bassist and backing vocalist of Galactic Cowboys, Monty Colvin. Their first album, All Day Sucker, released in 2001, defined the Crunchy sound as fun, pop rock with a slight heavy guitar edge. On Crunchy's 2nd album, Clown School Dropout, the band was stripped down to Monty playing most of the instruments and bringing in a hired drummer; here Monty added a bit more crunch to the formula.

Used to describe a long-haired, wool socks and birkenstocks-clad DOC member often found eating Collis entrees out of a reusable container for recycling.
