European weed naturalized in the southwestern U. S. and Mexico (Erodium cicutarium), having reddish decumbent stems with small fernlike leaves and small deep reddish-lavender flowers followed by slender pinlike fruits that stick straight up; it is often grown for forage.
Clocks formed in Epsom & Ewell (just outside London) in 2000. After deciding in 2005 to take music seriously, they spent their university vacations gigging and recording.
"Clocks" was the third single from English rock band Coldplay's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head. Regional singles were released for UK, Europe, Australia (a mini-EP), Japan (enhanced), Netherlands (3-disc EP), France, and the United States. Promos were released for British and American markets.

Clocks is an early 1970s text-based computer game for BASIC designed by People's Computer Company in which one must guess a time from 12:01 AM to noon, which the computer is "thinking of." The game appeared on pages 8 and 9 of the book What to Do After You Hit Return or P.C.C.'s First Book of Computer Games.
