Clarendon is a Washington Metro station in Arlington County, Virginia on the Orange Line. It is also scheduled to be on the Silver Line route, which is scheduled to start operations in 2011. The station is located at Wilson Boulevard and North Highland Street, in the core of the Clarendon neighborhood.
Clarendon is an English slab-serif typeface that was created in England by Robert Besley for the Fann Street Foundry in 1845. Besley went as far as trying to patent the typeface, thought this failed. The original matrices and punches remained at Stephenson Blake and latterly at the Type Museum, London.
