A type of thread that executes code in a user program. A user program begins with a single chore. You create additional chores to be run in parallel with other threads in the program by using a future statement or by using the user runtime function terart_chore_create(). Chores are scheduled to run by the user runtime, not the operating system. A chore can synchronize with other chores by accessing the full-empty bit of a sync or future variable. When waiting on a memory reference, chores suspend-wait instead of spin-wait.
To do chores.
