Definitions for "censored"
suppressed or subjected to censorship; as, the censored press in some countries. Opposite of uncensored.
Keywords:  alive, survival, die, employed, bound
Referring to a variable about whose value we might only know a lower or upper bound. Variables representing survival time are typically right censored for individuals still alive at the time data are collected, or for individuals who die from a cause other than the one being studied. Measurements of concentrations that may be below the detection limit of the method employed are an example of left censored variables.
