bvi is a display-oriented binary editor based on the vi texteditor. It uses commands similar to the commands of vi, with some changes and extensions dependent of their different tasks.
It is based on the vi text editor, and can run on most UNIX-like platforms and on DOS/Windows. bvi was written by Gerhard Bürgmann and is published under the GNU General Public License.
