Bromion evokes "Bromius," an epithet for the Greek god Dionysus meaning "roarer." As a character in Visions of the Daughters of Albion, he sometimes acts like another roaring rapist, Boreas, the North Wind, as in Ovid, Metamorphoses 6. See also Palamabron.
