a committee that is constituted for each award course to ensure that the assessment and determination of performance for each student enrolled in that course is conducted in a fair and equitable manner
Part of the University's 'two tier' examination and assessment system, this is the second level and the Board is responsible for making decisions about the progress of students on a course or courses and for making awards. A single board may be responsible for several awards.
departmental committee that agrees finalised grades, and decides final award classifications. Each department allocates an academic to lead the meetings for each programme every year. S/he is known as the Chair of the Board of Examiners.
