Extinct group of sedentary marine animals that were anchored to the sea floor by a stemlike column of of circular plates

A Mississippian fossil consisting of a 1/2- to 1-inch cup-like body that was attached at the base to a short stem. Each of these bodies were five-sided and had arms radiating from it. Usually only the fossilized bodies are seen today.
