Used for shallow subtidal facies of the C2 sequence. Overlies the Fairmount Member of the Fairview Formation and is overlain by the Corryville Formation. Originally part of the McMillan Formation. Used in traditional and Tobin systems in Ohio, Indiana, and northern Kentucky.

Bellevue is the historic home of Senator Benjamin Harvey Hill in La Grange, Georgia, built from 1853-1855. It is one of the National Historic Landmarks. It is a significant example of the "domesticated temple" form of the Greek Revival style at the height of antebellum Southern affluence.
