A classic northern Italian wine, Barbaresco is a powerful wine that is made purely from the Nebbiolo grape. Barbaresco is produced in the Piedmont reigon in a DOCG right outside Alba. These wines must be aged for a minimum of two years and four to be considered a riserva.
Barbaresco is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 50 km southeast of Turin and about 60 km northeast of Cuneo.
