Aston is a lunar impact crater that is located along the northwest limb of the Moon. Due to its location the crater is seen nearly from on edge, and visibility is subject to libration. It lies to the east of the Röntgen crater, some distance due west of Ulugh Beigh crater on the edge of the Oceanus Procellarum.

Taken from the name of Aston Hill in Buckinghamshire. The founders of Aston Martin, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford had great success in hillclimbing before the Great War and decided to use the name for their new car. An added advantage is that it begins with 'A' so the model appears very near the top of any alphabetical list of cars.
