a two-stage switching circuit that generates a square wave with no external triggering pulse
A multivibrator that has no stable state. Also called free-running because it alternates between two different output voltage levels during the time it is on. The frequency is determined by the RC time constant of the coupling circuit.
in which the circuit is not stable in either state - it continuously oscillates from one state to the other. See Multivibrator
A switching circuit that has no stable output state. A square wave oscillator. Also known as a free-running mutivibrator. Digital circuit that oscillates between two unstable output states.
