In Bluetooth terms, the connection created between devices for a single purpose.
For a specific purpose, case, or situation, as in a report generated on a one-time basis. A form of document routing for special approval, or for information only (FYI).

In basic terms this means 'as and when' required. Generally applied to single surveys which are designed as a 'one-off' rather than continuous on-going research.

A client setting that provides independent device-to-device connectivity in a wireless local area network. An alternative set-up is one where PCs communicate with each other through an access point.
